Ohhh I looove, that you ppl did this challenge! I was in Japan for half a year and I really got horrified bc of all this plastic packages. Especially eggs in plastic containers or products already packed completely fine but wrapped with plastic nevertheless. I come from germany and I experience a big movement to use less plastic but when I came to Japan I thought: well our efforts are kinda for nothing, when the rest of the world gives a shit. Its also surprising that a country with many high cqualified and creative ppl seem to have no idea about the bad impacts of plastic and use it in every possible situation.

ビニールは便利ですが、出来るだけ使わないように気をつけたいですね
It's so hard to avoid plastics, borderline impossible. even if you did manage to avoid it in your food supply what about things like the steering wheel of your car, toilet seats, and just about everything else. Heck even the receipt you get at the grocery store has a thin plastic coating on it
i feel that the plastic pouch was unnecessary. the bowl could've had a lid put on instead.
Japan is such an advanced country in so many ways… i just don't get why they need to put plastic in every single package: like individually wrapped fruits i found quite pointless, this only leads to an excessive amount of plastic that in the end are going to the garbage/ to the sea/ to the environment. I hope people can be more concious about their plastic consumption in 2020.
