Make your own Korean seaweed soup and heal your soul💚
Fun fact: In Korean tradition, people do not eat seaweed soup the day before an important test/exam because it is believed they may slip & fail the exam (since seaweed is slippery..😩😨🤣)
1. Cut 1-2cups of stew meat into small chunks & marinate in 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp sesame oil & 1.5 tbsp minced garlic and set aside for 15mins
2. Soak 10-12 strips of dried seaweed in water for 15mins
3. Cook the marinated stew meat on med-high heat for approx 10mins, or until cooked
4. Strain water from seaweed, cut into 1 inch pieces, add to the pot of stew meat & cook together for approx 5-10mins
5. Add 5-7 cups of water
6. Optional: Add tablet broth (can find in Asian/Korean markets) and 2 tbsp fish sauce
7. Add salt to taste
8. Boil & let simmer for approx 30mins
9. Enjoy with a bowl of rice & kimchi! 😋
